To mark the 20th edition of Design Parade, MATTER and SHAPE launched its program with an opening cocktail reception at the Pour Vous Design gallery, in an atmosphere that was both contemporary and welcoming. To enhance this event, Martin Fleurs conceived a floral installation perfectly in tune with the spirit of the venue and the theme of the exhibition, "Archaeology of the Everyday." Conceived as a sensitive extension of the exhibition, the floral composition played on subtle contrasts between raw materials and living plants. Seasonal flowers, organic textures, and clean lines interacted to create a visual dialogue with the pieces by the exhibiting designers. The installation did more than simply adorn the space; it fully participated in the experience, adding an emotional and immersive dimension to the guests' journey. In this environment marked by modernist architecture and MATTER and SHAPE's curatorial rigor, Martin Fleurs offered a contemporary floral expression that was both precise and spontaneous. The deliberately airy compositions allowed the volumes to breathe and highlighted each element, creating an almost sculptural aesthetic. This work underscores an approach to the flower as a medium in its own right, capable of engaging in dialogue with design, architecture, and objects. A judicious and elegant intervention, it confirms the place of florals in the most cutting-edge contemporary scenography.
